Position Description

Registered Nurse on Inpatient Surgical Step-Down Unit

Christiana Care is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Surgical Step-Down Unit, 4D.  This is a 35-bed general surgery step-down inpatient unit, caring for adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Are you ready for a higher level of care?

Requirements:

  • BSN required; or commitment to obtaining within three years of date of hire.
  • One year of nursing experience required. Two years' of nursing experience in an acute care setting is strongly preferred.
  • Licensed or license eligibility in the state of Delaware.
  • BLS Certification required.

Hours:  The hours for this position are a combination of day and overnight shifts of 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 7 a.m. This requires a weekend rotation and follows internal weekend requirement practice.  Holidays required per organization policy.
